One of the cornerstones of a small college is our commitment and focus on each of you. Our crisis management team meets daily and has established a command center to stay informed and educated on this evolving issue. As our campus community departs for an extended Spring Break, our crisis management team has issued the following updates:
Simpson College Extended Spring Break
- The college’s Spring Break has been extended by one additional week, March 13-29. We will inform the campus community before the end of break about plans for resuming classes.

Simpson College Athletic Update
- The American Rivers Conference, of which Simpson College is a member, issued a statement on March 13 announcing the cancellation of the remainder of the Spring Season and ALL practices effective March 13, 2020 due to concerns over COVID-19. American Rivers Conference

The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Presidents Council met to discuss the COVID-19 Coronavirus situation.
Based on the advice received from state, federal, and other public health authorities, with the priority being focusing on the health and well-being of our campus communities, it is with unprecedented sadness the Presidents Council concluded that all conference competition will be canceled, effective Friday, March 13, 2020, for the remainder of the spring season. The cancellation includes all A-R-C spring regular season competitions, championships, and awards.
The A-R-C eagerly awaits news from the NCAA regarding lost eligibility for all student-athletes affected by the nation-wide health pandemic.
