Spiritual formation is an important process for everyone. Being a part of our small groups allows you to reflect on and strengthen your spirituality and beliefs. These are our current groups but more are being formed all the time. Find one that fits you.
Mindfulness Monday
Started by a student, this group enjoys tea and talking in Dirlam Lounge, followed by a short 15-20-minute meditation in the Meditation Room. Open to all faith identities, this time allows you to connect with your spirituality, religious identity or simply relax and de-stress at the beginning of the week. Mondays, 8 p.m., Dirlam Lounge/Meditation Room
Food for the Soul
Local church congregations and other organizations provide a home-cooked meal for students each week at Food for the Soul. Time together generally opens with prayer and moves into the weekly worship service. No advanced planning is necessary and there’s always plenty of food to go around. Tuesdays, 5:30 p.m., Dirlam Lounge
Fellowship of Christian Athletes
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) brings together Christian athletes from the campus for games, discussion and friendship. This is a great continuation for students involved in FCA at their respective high schools. And you do not need to be a Simpson athlete to participate. Tuesdays, 9 p.m., Cowles 171
Small Group Bible Studies
Our small group Bible studies allow students to dive deeper into scripture, connect with their faith, make connections with other students and build community in Christ. Dates and times TBD.
Meditation Room
Stop in to the Meditation Room in the lower level of Smith Chapel for your spiritual needs. This space offers resources for various prayer and meditation practices and includes a hand and foot washing station. The Meditation Room can be reserved for private or group use in the main office.
