Leadership Development Program

program overview

In congruence with CAS Student Leadership Program Standards and Guidelines, this 8 week in person/6 week individual journaling program for second year/sophomore students will help students prepare to be strong leaders in varied leadership experiences through personal and interpersonal skill development including collaboration, communication, critical reflection, strategic thinking, and team building. Via curriculum drawing from the Social Change Model of Leadership and co-curriculum, Simpson College’s Leadership Development Program will provide students with opportunities to develop and enhance a personal philosophy of leadership that includes understanding of self, others, and community, and acceptance of responsibilities inherent in community membership.

Participant Qualifications  

  • Be a full-time Simpson College student 
  • Be of at least second year standing in Fall 2020
  • Be of sophomore status for Fall 2020
  • Be in good disciplinary standing with Simpson College
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or above
