Andy English

Originally from Harlan, Iowa, Andy found his home at Simpson College as an undergraduate becoming the seventh member of his family to attend Simpson. During his time on campus, his work-study role as a student ambassador sparked a professional calling in higher education.

After graduating in 2005, Andy began his career at Simpson as an admissions counselor, serving until 2009. Following a brief time away, he returned to his alma mater in 2013 as Director of Alumni Relations, a role he held until fall 2023. In 2025, Andy returned to his alma mater as Executive Director of Advancement, bringing his Simpson journey full circle.

In his current role, Andy builds meaningful relationships with alumni and friends of the College, partnering with them to create lasting impact through philanthropy. His work reflects both his deep personal connection to Simpson and his passion for advancing its mission for future generations.

Andy resides in Carlisle, Iowa, with his wife, Erin; their sons, Hudson and Colton; and their two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Maple, named in honor of Whispering Maples, and Maverick, a nod to his love of Top Gun.

Outside of work, Andy enjoys golfing, hunting, cycling, cooking, and camping.
