Events for Everyone

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a student organization dedicated to providing a dynamic line-up of events and entertainment that reflect the wide-ranging interests and needs of students on campus. General members of CAB, led by a student executive board, help select, plan and host professional entertainers, in-house sponsored programs and several annual student traditions.  Some of the best memories you’ll have at Simpson will be made at CAB events.

Do you have ideas for upcoming events you’d like to see?  Connect with CAB social media or stop by CAB’s weekly meeting during the academic year from 5:00-6:00pm on Wednesdays in the Student Organization Suite.

Bringing Students Together

Back-to-school Stand Around. Canvas painting. Homecoming Yell Like Hell and Dance Like Hell. Karaoke. Movies and popcorn. Bingo nights. Those are among the CAB classics.

Comedians, hypnotists, magicians and concerts are big here, too.  So are the educational and cultural opportunities that allow students to get outside their box and learn something new.

Life on the Square and in the Big City

Just a few blocks from campus you and your crew can connect at the downtown square. From pizza joints and casual grill dining inside or out, you can find a lot of good eats. You can also find great places to shop and find your style — all within an easy walk.

Of course, you can also make the quick zip to West Des Moines and downtown Des Moines to experience all the best of big city life, entertainment and recreation. If you can’t find something fun to do somewhere on- or close to campus, you’re simply not trying.
