Simpson College Choir

fall choir

The SIMPSON COLLEGE CHOIR experiences high-energy rehearsals that explore a variety of choral music from various styles and genres including gospel, spirituals, vocal jazz, modern works, world music, as well as the choral classics.  This mixed (SATB) ensemble specializes in accompanied works and larger works with orchestra, but also performs numerous a cappella works throughout the year.

Performance opportunities on campus include concerts in Smith Chapel, masterworks concerts with professional orchestra, the beloved Service of Lessons and Carols at Christmas and many other events.  Off campus, the College Choir is an ambassador for Simpson College and its music program, singing as invited guests in numerous churches and schools around the state. Recently, the ensemble accepted an invitation to sing with Orchestra Iowa (Beethoven's Missa Solemnis).

Rehearsals: MWF 3:20-4:20 p.m.

Conductor:Dr. Jon Arnold
