Anthony Potratz, Hello! My name is Anthony Potratz and I am from Keokuk, IA. I am a Mathematics major with a Secondary Education minor. Dayton Gatewood, My name is Dayton Gatewood (she/her) and I am a 4th year double-majoring in Biology and Philosophy. I am originally from Alaska, but now I live in Iowa. I want to get a Ph.D. in molecular biology and then pursue a career in research. I am tutoring for Biol110, but I am also an instructor for Biology SI. I am a member of the Chemistry Club, Diversity in Stem, Math Club, ODK Honor Society, Physics Club, and Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society. Jared Oosterhuis, Hey all! My name is Jared Oosterhuis. I am a sophomore here at Simpson studying Environmental Science with a possible minor in Chemistry. I am one of the Bio SI leaders as well as a tutor for Bio 110/111! I love the sciences, especially the bio/environmental science. Jenna Pfeiffer, I am Jenna Pfeiffer. I use she/her pronouns, and I am a senior! I have taken several psychology courses during my time here and spend a lot of time with the department (specifically Dr. Amanda Martens). Paisley Kintigh, I am from Greenfield, Iowa. I am a senior majoring in Health and Exercise Science and have minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Entrepreneurship. I hope to eventually become a dietician and exercise physiologist. I love the material I have gotten to learn about through sports science classes and have become very passionate about the concept of using food and exercise as medicine. I have personally used CARs tutoring services and have experienced many benefits. I am very excited to take on this role and help other students become confident in their understanding of the course material. On campus, I am involved in the Honors program, the health and exercise science club, and the pre-health society. I am also an SI instructor for nutrition and a sports science department recruiter.

I am currently double majoring in Business Management and Sport Administration. During my time here I have taken an interest in the finance and the economic side of the sport industry. Sam Derning, Hey all! My name is Sam Derning and I'm a junior Biochemistry major. I'm the Organic Chemistry tutor and Chem SI assistant. I'm the Vice President of Diversity in Stem and have an ongoing research project on campus as well. After I graduate, I will be going to Pharmacy school for Oncology Pharmacy. Sydney McCarron, I am Sydney McCarron and am majoring in Mathematics and Educational Studies. After college I plan to teach Algebra 1 at the high school level. I am the CARs content tutor for College Algebra and Linear Algebra. Here at Simpson, I am also a part of the Woman's Track and Field team. I am currently 5th in Simpson history for the Hammer throw! The reason I wanted to become a tutor is to help my peers exceed and to better understand mathematical content.
