DESCRIPTION:The Simpson College Department of Music is pleased to announce the SC 2026 Guest String Artist\, Dr. Hanna Rumora\, cellist. Dr. Rumora will present a free\, hour-long recital on Sunday\, Oct. 4th\, at 2:00 pm in Lekberg Hall. Dr. Rumora will be joined by collaborative pianist Craig Jordan to perform works by Janacek\, Florence Price\, Beethoven\, Nadia Boulanger\, and Libby Larsen. Dr. Rumora earned her doctorate at the University of Iowa and is the cello professor at Del Mar University in Corpus Christi\, Texas. Mr. Jordan is finishing his doctorate at the University of Iowa\, and is a piano instructor and collaborative pianist at the University of Wisconsin\, Eau Claire. A dessert reception will follow the recital. School-age children are welcome to attend. \n
