Sport Administration

Major and Minor

What will I learn?

Coursework provides a foundation in sports including economic, financial, historical, leadership, legal and marketing perspectives. Along with an internship (or two), you will be prepared for a range of opportunities in the administrative side of sports.

This course will provide you with an understanding of the management principles and concepts used in sport and fitness organizations, as well as the challenges such a position presents.

Great internship experiences

Simpson students have had some amazing internships, getting them up close and personal with some of the region's premier sports opportunities, including the Iowa Cubs, Iowa Wild, Iowa Wolves, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Principal Charity Golf Classic to name a few. Some of these even led to full-time positions.

The Career Development office is a great asset when looking for that great internship.
