In 2005, I returned to college (for the second time) and started over as a full-time adult student during the day. While in college, I completed internships with Prevent Child Abuse Iowa, Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Iowa Environmental Council. Each of these centered around planning events. I graduated in 2009 and began to plan events on my own.
I started working for Simpson College in 2015 and continue to have the opportunity to do what I love; work with wonderful students, staff and faculty, plan events, and play with spreadsheets, social media, and web sites. It never gets dull as my work load and the many faces around Simpson are always changing.
When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter, three sons, (as well as their significant others), and two dogs. Although our children are all grown and living their own lives, they haven't forgotten where home is.
