Important Dates for Housing 2024-2025

August      
  July 29- Aug 9 Mon Summer to Fall Moves Begin
  23 Fri

FY move-in at Barker/Kresge from 8am to noon.  Sign up for times required.  Information sent to all FY students in their assignments email.

Transfer check-in at Kent Campus Center from 8am to noon.

FY (Barker/Kresge) Opening Floor Meetings at 7:30pm.  Community Advisors of each floor will let residents know where the meeting will be held.
  25 Sun

Returner move-in from 8am to noon. Residents of Buxton and Picken will check in at their hall.  Apartment residents will check in at their apartment building.  Theme House residents should check in at the Student Development Suite on the 2nd floor of Kent Campus Center.
  26 Mon Returning & Transfer Student Floor Meetings at 7:30pm.  CA's will inform residents of the location.
  27 Tues  Classes begin
September      
  2 Mon Labor Day- Classes in Session
October      
  12-13 Sat-Sun Homecoming & Family Weekend
  17-18 Thurs-Fri Fall Break - No classes. All housing remains open with limited or no dining options available.
November      
  27-29 Wed-Fri Thanksgiving break - No classes. All housing remains open, limited or no dining options available.
December      
  2-5 Mon-Thrs Winter Closing Meetings
  2 Mon Community Advisor (CA) Applications Available for current students.
  6 Fri 24-hour quiet hours begins at midnight and runs through finals week
  13 Fri Winter break begins
  13 Fri Halls and Greek houses close at noon - Students who need to stay over break must have signed up. Housing contract ends for students not returning for spring unless participating in Dec commencement
  14 Fri December commencement; housing ends at 8:00 pm for graduating seniors participating in commencement 
  20 Fri Campus closes at 4:30pm for Winter Break
January      
  2 Thrs Campus Offices re-open at 8am
  10 Fri Move in for 1st Year/Transfer Students
  12 Sun Halls and Greek houses open for spring semester at 9:00am.

  2 Wed Campus Day- No Classes
  4 Fri Summer Housing Priority Deadline at 4pm. Applications received after this date are not guaranteed housing for summer.
   18  Fri  Meal Plans end after lunch for Easter Recess
  21 Mon Easter Recess - no classes.  All housing remains open with limited or no dining available.
  21-24 Mon-Thrs Closing Floor Meetings
  25 Fri 24-hour quiet hours begins at midnight and runs through finals week
May      
  2 Fri

Campus housing closes at noon for students not staying for a May term course, travel course, athletics, or commencement.

Meal plans end at 12pm for students not staying for May Term.
  3 Sat Commencement
  4 Sun Halls close at 12pm for students who participated in commencement and are not staying for May term.
       
  5 Mon May Term Classes Begin
  23 Fri May Term classes end; All housing closes at 5:00 pm - no exceptions granted
