Academic Requirements
Earning Credits Toward Summer Residential Upward Bound
During the course of the academic year, students earn points for participating in Upward Bound activities. Students that meet the point requirements qualify for Summer Residential Upward Bound. Requirements are met through participation in tutoring and jamboree sessions, enrolling in college preparatory coursework, and completing career and college interest projects. Juniors and seniors have additional point requirements they must meet which include completing the ACT Test, visiting colleges, and researching scholarship information. In addition, seniors apply to colleges/universities and submit the FAFSA.
