The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which students graduate from high school and enroll in and graduate from college with a bachelor’s degree. You will pay no expenses for participating in this program thanks to a grant from U.S. Department of Education(TRIO). Summer Program - Six Week Residential, Academic Program
School Year Weekly Tutoring and Advising.Once a month all our students get together for a variety of activities ranging from skill building workshops to college visits. Students can receive academic support and tutoring for high school coursework each week, at their own school. Guidance in working through day-to-day problems and making decisions about their future. Assistance with preparing and entering college. Assistance with registering and paying for college entrance exams, such as ACT. Attend financial aid workshops, college visits, and much more. Earn up to $40 a month. Iowa Choices®The Iowa College Student Aid Commission assists schools, students and families with career and educational development by providing a free software program that is part of the Iowa Choices® system. For the 2008-2009 school year, Choices® Planner is provided free to all Iowa high schools, colleges and universities and area education agencies and Choices Explorer is provided free to all Iowa middle schools. |
