The Servant of Two Masters
Carlo Goldoni, adapted by Constance Congdon
Directed by Jennifer Ross Nostrala
Goldoni's 18th century Italian play centers around a simple servant trying to make an extra buck by serving two masters, without letting anyone know. Unbeknownst to him one master is actually a woman disguised as a man. She has come to Venice in search of her lover Florindo, the servants other master. Throw in another set of lovers, a couple of crazy fathers, a few more complications, and plenty of mistaken identity for a play that is as thrilling as a rollercoaster ride.
Join Theatre Simpson for a performance full of mad-cap frivolity as these characters pursue love, sex, retribution, and food.
