Workstudy Opportunities

There are a variety of exciting workstudy opportunities available in the theatre department. We have students working in sets, lights, sound, props, costumes, front of houes and the departmental office.

Undergraduate Assistantships for the 2008-2009 are:

  • Audience Services Assistant:  Serve as "Box Office or House Manager."  Supervise, train and schedule individual box office crew.

  • Lighting and Electric Assistant:  Serve as lighting designer for one or more productions.  Organize, execute and maintain lighting equipment.  Supervise and train work study.  Serve as "Master Electrician" for all productions and events.

  • Production Assistant:  Serve as stage manager for one production annually.  Train stage managers and keep an ongoing record of rehearsal and performance reports.

  • Sound Assistant:  Will serve as "Sound Desginer" for two or more theatre productions.  Organize, record, execute and maintenance of the lighting and equipment for productions.  Supervision of the storage and maintenance of sound equipment.

  • Costume Assistant:  Serve as "Wardrobes Master" for two or more theatre productions.  Supervise the storage and maintenance of stock costumes.  Supervise small number of work study students.

     
  • Properties Assistant:  Serve as "Props Master" or designer for two or more productions annually.
