Students at Simpson can earn membership in Alpha Psi Omega, the National Theatre Honorary. Students earn points toward membership through participation in Theatre Simpson productions.

The Zeta Gamma cast of Alpha Psi Omega adheres to its motto, Seek a Life Useful, by striving to become theatre artists who serve not only our audience, but also our department and the Simpson community through creative expression and artistic excellence. We believe that excellence in the Theatre Arts can only be achieved by personal and communal commitment and growth. Together these allow for service to the Art through respect for those who have come before us and for those who will keep our Art alive; service to the body through hard work and perseverance; and service to the soul through human interaction, which is the foundation of all communities and an ultimate goal of the theatre.

Activities of the cast of APO include sponsorship of a postshow company party, and financial support for students traveling to the KCACTF Regional Festival.
