SUSI OFFICE IN DES MOINES
The SUSI office that is located in Des Moines allows for urban social and environmental considerations to be integrated into student and faculty research experiences. SUSI's location provides innovative learning opportunities that complement the classroom experience at Simpson. SUSI supplements Simpson's forward-looking education leadership models and strategies that will enhance student comprehension of urban issues.
The Des Moines location weaves scholarship and community contact on real-world urban challenges that go beyond the microscope of academic research. The current site was selected due to the SUSI priorities of providing resources and tools to strenghten undergraduate research by involving urban residents. The institute's office supports faculty and undergraduate research that promotes innovation and urban design, economic development,and leadership.
