Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship (Deadline: March & October)
This scholarship provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. - IIEPassport Study Abroad Funding is a website where you can investigate various study abroad grants and scholarships for which you might be eligible to apply.

Freeman-ASIA (Deadline: March & October)
The Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-ASIA) were created to increase the number of U.S. students studying in East Asia. Freeman-ASIA accepts applications from U.S. citizens or permanent residents who demonstrate financial need to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. -
Fund for Education Abroad (Deadline: Fall)
The FEA is committed to increasing the opportunities for dedicated American students to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs by reducing financial restrictions through the provision of grants and scholarships. -
Global Studies Foundation (GSF) Student Grant (Deadline: July)
Emphasis on the study of strategically significant countries and languages, no need-based component to eligibility criteria. -
GO! Study Abroad Scholarship (Deadline: September 15th)
The scholarship is awarded based on the creativity and analytical thinking displayed through writing samples and/or video submissions. -
IIPP Fellowship Program-Minority Student Leadership Program (Deadline: March)
This fellowship funds: two summer institutes, half of the cost of a semester abroad during junior year and funding for a Masters in International Affairs. Students may only apply sophomore year. -
Critical Language Scholarship (Deadline: December)
The CLS Program is part of a U.S. government effort to expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical need foreign languages. Students of diverse disciplines and majors are encouraged to apply. Participants are expected to continue their language study beyond the scholarship period, and later apply their critical language skills in their future professional careers. -
NSEP Boren Scholarship (Deadline: January)
Provides up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad.
