Athlete Spotlight - Tara Christensen

High School and Hometown: Hinton Community High School, Hinton, Iowa
Junior Tara Christensen is anxious for the upcoming volleyball season. With everyone from the 2007 team returning, Storm volleyball has high hopes for next season.
“Since we have been able to practice in the off season this year we are really beginning to mold together,” said Christensen.
Christensen’s favorite memory of last volleyball season was playing in New York City during the New York University tournament. Last season, the volleyball team traveled to New York to play in the tournament, hoping for some good competition. The team went 4-0 in matches and 12-0 in games.
“We won it and beat every team and shocked everyone, including ourselves and coaches,” said
Christensen. “I also had a blast touring New York City with all my teammates and going shopping and to a Broadway musical.”
