Volleyball Takes Third at Platteville
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (Sept. 26, 2009) – Simpson couldn’t notch a win in the final day of the 2009 UW-Platteville Volleyball Tournament Saturday, finishing the tournament in third place with a record of 2-2 on the weekend.
Simpson fell to UW-Stout in the first match of the day, 25-22, 26-24, 19-25, 25-23, and dropped a three set match to No. 1 UW-Oshkosh in the second, 25-23, 25-19, 25-12.
Outside hitter Lara Gillespie (Sr., Lake Park, Iowa) earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
Statistics were not available upon completion of the tournament.
