Grinnell Defeats Simpson 9-0
Grinnell (1-0) defeated Simpson (0-3) 9-0 in women's tennis play Sept. 2 in Grinnell. Despite the shutout, the Storm played well. Jackie Suckow (Sr., West Des Moines, Iowa, Valley H.S.) took Toby Cain to three sets (6-1, 3-6, 10-7) at No. 1 singles while Jill Berner (So., Albia, Iowa, Albia H.S.) did the same to Maya Lipert (6-2, 4-6, 10-8) at No. 3 singles. Simpson is right back in action Wednesday when the Storm travel to Storm Lake to take on Buena Vista.
