Athlete Spotlight - Kristen Towne
High School and Hometown: Prairie Valley High School, Gowrie,
Iowa
During the swimming season, Kirsten Towne enjoys activities with her teammates.
“We always find ways to entertain ourselves,” she said. “This year, we took a road trip to Target and made blankets for the team.”
Towne, a sociology and criminal justice major, picked Simpson because she felt at home the first time she visited campus.
“I liked the environment,” she said. “I liked the small town. Simpson offered a lot more than other schools.”
In addition to swimming, Towne works for Simpson Security and Student Support Services, where she plans activities and mentors younger students.
