Andrea Benson, 5-5, So., Conrad, Iowa
2007-08 (Freshman): A member of the Simpson Cross County and Track teams. Did not compete in swimming.
High School: A 2007 graduate of BCLUW High School. Qualified for the state track meet as a sophomore and as a junior. Earned All-Conference honors in track on two occasions.
Personal: Born Nov. 23, 1988. Daughter of Mike and Paula Benson. A math major.
Alex Carlson, 5-6, Fr., Great Bend, Kan.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Great Bend High School. Coach was Steve Beaumont. Named first team All-Conference as a senior and second team All-Conference as a junior. Team won four conference championships during career and qualified for the state meet on two occasions. Lettered in golf.
Personal: Born Nov. 21, 1989. Daughter of Michael and Susan Carlson. A sociology major.
Chelsy Croson, 5-2, Sr., Newton, Iowa
2007-08 (Junior): Placed eighth in the 200 breaststroke, 10th in the 100 breastroke, and 11th in the 200 IM at the Iowa Conference Championships. Was a part of the Simpson 200 free relay and 200 medley that each came in fourth at the Iowa Conference Championships. A member of the Storm 400 medley relay that finished third at the Iowa Conference Championships. Was second in the 100 butterfly at the Morningside and Loras meets. Finished third at the 200 IM at the Morningside dual.
2006-07 (Sophomore): Finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke, sixth in the 200 breaststroke, and seventh in the 100 butterfly at the Iowa Conference Championships. Won the 100 butterfly at the Augsburg dual. Won the 100 breaststroke at the Coe dual and the Augsburg dual. Was part of the 200 freestyle relay that placed 10th at the IIAC Championships. A member of the 200 medley relay that finished fourth at the IIAC Championships.
2005-06 (Freshman): Participated in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes, as well as the 100 and 200 butterfly events. Established a school record in the 200 butterfly (2:44.15) in a fifth place finish at the Iowa Conference Championships. Won the 100 breaststroke at both the Coe and Loras duals. Also won the 100 butterfly at the Coe dual with a time of 1:09.87.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Newton High School. Coach was Sarah Patterson. Qualified for the state tournament as a senior. A four-year letterwinner. Lettered in tennis.
Personal: Born Mar. 29, 1987. Daughter of Scott and Cristy Croson. A math major.
Mandy Fichter, 5-5, So., Sidney, Iowa
2007-08 (Freshman): Did not compete.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Sidney High School. Lettered in basketball and volleyball. Personal: Born Nov. 8, 1988. Daughter of Harry and Susan Fichter. Has a triple major of accounting, economics, and international management.
Lauren Frodyma, 5-4, Fr., Council Bluffs, Iowa
High School: A 2008 graduate of Underwood High School. Lettered in softball and track.
Personal: Born Dec. 15, 1989. Daughter of Pat Frodyma and Jodi Holzer. Has a double major of biology and Spanish.
Kendra Frush, 5-7, Sr., Jesup, Iowa
2007-08 (Junior): Participated in the Coe and Loras Duals. Finished second in the 100 free and fifth in the 50 free at the Loras dual. Was seventh in the 100 free at the Coe dual.
2006-07 (Sophomore): Competed in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyle races. Placed sixth in the 50 free at the Augsburg and Coe duals.
2005-06 (Freshman): Primarily competed in the 50 and 100 freestyle sprints. Placed fourth in the 50 freestyle at the Coe dual and fifth in the event at the Loras dual.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Jesup High School. Did not compete in swimming for Jesup. Lettered in softball.
Personal: Born July 21, 1987. Daughter of Doug and Ruth Frush. Has a double major of biochemistry and math.
Mackenzie Hinrichs, 5-6, So., Altoona, Iowa
2007-08 (Freshman): Competed only during the Coe Dual, finishing seventh in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 breaststroke.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Southeast Polk High School. Coach was Ryan Person. A four-year letterwinner. Lettered in tennis. A member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born May 6, 1989. Daughter of Steve and Kelly Hinrichs. An elementary education major.

High School: A 2008 graduate of Waseca High School. Coach was Mandi Nohner. Lettered in swimming and track and field.

Catherine Mayes, 5-3, Fr., Muscatine, Iowa
High School: A 2008 graduate of Muscatine High School. Coaches were Judd Anderson and Erik Olson. Chosen NISCA Academic All-American, Academic All-Conference, and team most valuable swimmer as a senior. A three-year letterwinner in soccer. A member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born May 16, 1990. Daughter of Paul and Ann Mayes. Has a double major of biochemistry and forensic science. A member of the Simpson women’s soccer team.
Kayla Miller, 5-8, So., Odebolt, Iowa
2007-08 (Freshman): Did not compete in swimming for the Simpson, concentrated on golf for the Storm.
High School: A 2007 graduate of Odebolt-Arthur High School. Finished fifth at the state golf meet as a senior and 13th as a junior. A three-time first team All-Conference selection in golf. Earned first team All-Conference honors in basketball and volleyball. Lettered in softball. A member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born Jan. 10, 1989. Daughter of Merle and Deb Miller. A sports administration major.
Ali Robinson, 5-9, Fr., Atlantic, Iowa
High School: A 2008 graduate of Atlantic High School. Coach was Dean Junker. Participated in swimming. Participated in basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
Personal: Born May 7, 1990. Daughter of Gerhard Marburg and Diana Robinson. A biology major.
Jaimie Summers, 5-7, Fr., West Des Moines, Iowa
Kirsten Towne, 5-6, Sr., Gowrie, Iowa
2007-08 (Junior): Finished sixth in the 100 butterfly, seventh in the 50 freestyle, and 12th in the 100 freestyle at the Iowa Conference Championships. Was 10th in the butterfly and 15th in the 50 freestyle at the Liberal Arts Championships. A member of the 200 free relay that was fourth at the Iowa Conference Championships and part of the 200 free relay that finished ninth at the Liberal Arts Championships. A part of the Storm 200 medley relay that came in fourth at the Iowa Conference Championships.
2006-07 (Sophomore): Set a school record in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:07.61 at the Liberal Arts Championships. Finished fifth in the 100 butterfly at the Iowa Conference Championships. Placed 11th in the 100 freestyle at the Iowa Conference Championships. Won the 100 backstroke at the Coe dual. Won the 50 free at the Augsburg dual. Charted an 11th place finish in the 100 free at the IIAC Championships. Was a member of the 200 free relay that finished fourth at the Iowa Conference Championships. A member of the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relays that finished fourth at the Iowa Conference Championships.
2005-06 (Freshman): Focused on the freestyle sprinting events and 200 individual medley. Finished sixth in the 50 freestyle at the Iowa Conference Championships. Placed eighth at the Iowa Conference Championships in the 200 IM with a season best time of 2:31.71. Earned a second place finish in the 200 IM at the Coe dual. Anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay team at the Coe dual.
High School: A 2005 graduate of Prairie Valley High School. Swam for Ft. Dodge High School. Coach was Dan Hansen. Lettered four times and was named Academic All-Conference four times in swimming for Ft. Dodge..Served as the swimming team captain as a senior. A three year letterwinner in golf and for the drill team at Prairie Valley. Served as the team captain in golf as a senior. Earned Academic All-Conference honors three times in golf and three times for the drill team.
Personal: Born Nov. 5, 1986. Daughter of Dr. Bruce and Laurie Towne. Has a double major of criminal justice and sociology.
