Athlete Spotlight - Kayla Miller
High School and Hometown: Odebolt-Arthur High School, Odebolt, Iowa
Kayla Miller, a member of the women's golf team at Simpson, has a new off-season pastime: swimming.
Miller began swimming for the Storm this season, and though this is the first time she has ever swam competitively, she has loved the sport since elementary school.
Miller admits that jumping in the water at 5:30 in the morning is a little tougher than she imagined and she isn't very fond of the swim cap, but overall Miller really enjoys the sport.
"I like getting in the water every day," said Miller, who is a sophomore at Simpson. "It's a good workout, and I like the competition. The meets are really fun, and even though I'm not the best yet, I still really enjoy it. The other swimmers and coach make it fun too."
In addition to swimming and golf, Miller also participates in various intramurals on campus.
