Athlete Spotlight - Calie Hohneke
Position: Pitcher
High School and Hometown: Indianola High School, Indianola
Honors: All-Conference
Calie Hohneke always knew she wanted to attend Simpson College. Growing up in Indianola, she attended softball camps at the college as a kid. She also got along well with head coach Henry Christowski.
“I like how Coach C coaches, and I am impressed with his knowledge of the game,” she said.
The senior is looking forward to her last season as a member of the Storm and thinks this year’s team shows real promise.
“We have a really hard working team, and I think that is going to help us succeed to the end,” she said. “No one is satisfied with losing.”
