Athlete Spotlight - Amanda Armstrong

High School and Hometown: Indianola High School, Indianola
Honors: All-Conference
Amanda Armstrong transferred to the college her junior year after deciding she would prefer to play softball for Simpson and be closer to home.
“I feel more comfortable here,” she said. “I’ve made a lot of good friends.”
Her favorite memory of her first season as a member of the Storm softball team was hitting a home run—her only of the season—in a game against her former college team.
Armstrong said being a student-athlete has taught her about time management because it requires a lot of organization to balance school, practices and workouts.
