The Storm win both games at Loras on Wednesday
The Storm softball team travelled to Dubuque, Iowa on Wednesday for an Iowa Conference double-header against the Loras Duhawks. Simpson defeated Loras in both games of the double header 6-4 in game 1 and 10-4 in game 2. 
In the first game on Wednesday the Storm scored two runs in the top of the 8th to secure the 6-4 victory. Allie Hock (left) (So. Lawrence, KS) went 3-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Kelsey Castenson (Jr. Harcourt, IA), Jessica Barkley (Jr. Mitchellville, IA), and senior Carlye Owens (Norwalk, IA) all earned two hits for Simpson. Bryn Johnson (right) (So. Laurens, IA) earned her 4th
win of the season on the mound. In game 2 the Storm earned 10 runs on 14 hits, as Bryn Johnson earned her second win of the day. Kelsie Host (So. Altoona, IA) went 3-5 at the plate as Kortney
Proctor (below left) (Jr. Wilton, IA) hit her third homerun of the year in the 2nd inning. Proctor went 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBIs. Barkley, Hock, Sorensen, and Veronica Roshek (Fr. Urbandale, IA) all had 2 hits for Simpson. Allie Hock and Carlye Owens both had 2 RBIs. Simpson will travel to Storm Lake this weekend to take on Buena Vista in an Iowa Conference double header on Saturday April 18. Game one will begin at 2 p.m.
