You may not want to mess with women's soccer player Erin Vinnedge.

Vinnedge, a junior at Simpson, has been hunting since it was legal for her to shoot a gun (12-years old). She hunts deer, antelope, duck, goose, pheasant and turkey.

"I found out that I was the first female in the state of Montana to legally shoot two elk in one day," she said. "I am not sure; I still might be the only one."

Vinnedge's dad is a game warden in Montana, where she lives. Hunting is a large part of the Montana culture, and Vinnedge grew up watching her dad until she was old enough to participate.

Vinnedge remembers a specific night where she and her father shot four elk and were forced to drag the animals back in complete darkness.

"We realized we still had two mountains to hike over, and the sun had started to go down," said Vinnedge. "As the moon came out, we suddenly discovered that it was also the night of the total lunar eclipse. We hiked in complete darkness."
