The highlight of Katie Vaux’s golf career at Simpson was going to nationals last year. The team qualified for nationals after winning the conference championship.
“It was fun to be a part of nationals and see the higher level of competition,” she said.
Vaux chose Simpson because of the college’s competitive golf program.
“I wanted to play golf at Simpson because of the success they’ve had in the past,” she said. “I wanted to carry on the tradition.”
She hopes the team will continue to knock strokes off their scores while having fun.
“We need to keep having fun because golf is a really tough sport at times,” she said.
