Women's Golf Coach

darrahHead Coach - Bob Darrah is in his 20th season as head women's golf coach at Simpson. He has guided the Storm to 93 wins in 215 attempts during his tenure (a .432 winning percentage). Darrah has been named Iowa Conference Women's Golf Coach of the Year 11 times and has led the Storm to nine league titles.

Since 1989 Simpson has finished second at the national women's golf tournament (either NCAA or NCGA) three times.  Simpson has also collected two third place finishes and one fourth place showing. A Simpson golfer has earned All-Conference honors 62 times while four have become All-Americans. In addition two others have earned NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarships.

Darrah was Simpson's head wrestling coach from 1989-95 where he compiled an 86-25-1 record and one IIAC title in 1991. Five of his wrestlers were named All-Americans and one was a two-time National Champion (Travis Young). He was voted Coach of the Year in 1991 by the IIAC.

Darrah served as the Simpson's men's golf coach from 1994-98 where his teams finished in the upper division of the conference every year and one player, Jordan Dirks, earned All-Conference honors.

Darrah is a 1958 graduate of Westmar College and earned his master's degree from Truman State in 1967.
