Women's Golf in 5th After First Round at Central

Katie Vaux shot a 16-over 88 to lead the Simpson women's golf team in the first round of the Central Invitational at Bos Landen Golf Club in Pella.
Simpson shot 90-over 378 on Friday, puttin the team five strokes behind fourth-place Luther. Vaux ended the day tied for eighth, followed by Megan Smith, whose 20-over 92 put her in a tie for 14th.
Simpson completes play at Bos Landen tomorrow.
