For freshman Catie Ellingson, the upcoming cross country season is all about making progress.
“We’re a pretty young team, mostly freshman and sophomores,” she said. “We improved a lot from the previous season, and I hope we continue to improve with the addition of newcomers.”
She enjoys running at Simpson because all of her teammates are friends.
“People are a lot closer on this team,” she said. “Everyone gets together and hangs out.”
Ellingson chose Simpson because, being from Indianola, she was already familiar with the college. She also liked that Simpson was a small school where she could get individual attention from faculty and recognize everyone on campus.
