Honors: 2006 All-Conference, letter winner in track
For Jess Christensen, the personal attention made all the difference.
She decided to run cross country and track at Simpson after the coaching staff made her feel welcome during the recruitment process. She felt the staff cared about her success and her life and wanted to make sure Simpson was the right choice for her.
Christensen hopes the team can use the momentum from the track season to move up in the conference and region and to qualify for nationals during the cross country season.
She said the best part about cross country and track are her teammates.
“We do so many goofy things as a team,” she said. “We have awesome team chemistry. We all get along so well and care about each other. We probably get together on a weekly basis.”
