Athlete Spotlight - Maria Oliver

High School and Hometown: Hazelwood Central High School, Florissant, Missouri
Senior Maria Oliver transferred to Simpson College last year from Lindenwood Community College in Missouri. With one successful season behind her, Oliver ready and excited for the new season.
"It's different without the seniors from last year and we're going to miss their leadership on the team," said Oliver. "Our team will step up and fill the roles that we lost last year. I feel that we have the teammates and dedication to do that."
Playing since she was in kindergarten, Oliver has always loved the fast pace style of the game.
"What really makes it fun is the competitiveness and the friendships you make with your teammates," said Oliver.
As an accounting major, Oliver hopes to get her CPA and work in the accounting field.
