Athlete Spotlight - Laura Montague

Honors: Letter winner in basketball
Senior Laura Montague has taken more than her passion for basketball away from her experience at Simpson.
“My time at Simpson has been something I will never forget,” said Montague. “My basketball team has become like a family, and I know I have made lifelong friends. The classes I’ve taken and professors I’ve had have helped me learn so many things outside my areas of study, which I might not have received anywhere else.”
Participating in sports and other activities on campus allowed Montague to come away with skills that will help her immensely after her time at Simpson.
“I have gained so much as a student-athlete at Simpson,” she said. “Responsibility and time management skills are something I will continue to use throughout my life. Learning to use teamwork on and off the court while learning to work with many different types of people is something that is very valuable to me. ”
