Athlete Spotlight - Brenna Abel

Hometown and High School: Belmond, Iowa, Belmond-Klemme High School
Losing three of five starters from last year can't be easy for any team-any team except the Simpson women's basketball team.
"We all miss the seniors a lot, but we have an awesome senior group this year," said Abel. "We all get along and have so much fun together. We truly are like a family."
With a successful season last year, including a trip to the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen, Abel still has high expectations for her team.
"Everyone on this team is a hard worker and willing to put it all on the line," she said. "Hopefully our experience and hard work will bring us yet another successful season."
Abel participates in many on-campus activities such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Campus Activities Board. Abel is looking forward to graduating from Simpson in May and is excited about her upcoming wedding this summer. A corporate communications major, Abel hopes to get a job in the Des Moines area in the communications field.
