Athlete Spotlight - Antonio Neal
Position: Defensive Back
High School and Hometown: Ritenour Senior High School, St. Louis, Missouri
Honors: Letter winner in football
Coming from St. Louis, Mo., senior Antonio Neal was excited for the more relaxing environment of a small Iowa school.
“I love the teacher-student relationships I have had while at Simpson,” said Neal. “Simpson is a really nice change of pace from the city.”
While playing football has been the highlight of Neal's career at Simpson, he is also involved in other campus activities. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a mentor for Student Support Services and the founder of “Broke Phi Broke,” a group Neal and his friends started to perform at Simpson’s Yell like Hell, a cheer and dance competition, during Homecoming week last year.
“My favorite memory of school until now is performing at Yell like Hell during Homecoming week,” said Neal. “It was really fun for me to get closer to my friends and to show off our dancing skills to the other students. Everyone had a really good time with it.”
