Athlete Spotlight - Eric Patten
Men’s Cross Country and Track
High School and Hometown: Sioux Central, Webb, Iowa
Sophomore Eric Patten believes the men’s cross country team will be a threat in the IIAC and place in the top three in the conference this coming season.
Patten said the team is competitive outside of cross country as well. His favorite memories of the team include playing intramural basketball and “hall ball,” a game they invented in one of the freshman dorms.
Patten, a religion major and exercise science minor, is also involved in many other campus activities, such as Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program, campus worship and a fraternity.
