Athlete Spotlight - Eric Osterhaus

High School and Hometown: Waukon High School, Waukon, Iowa
Honors: All-Conference, 2007 National Qualifier
Eric Osterhaus chose Simpson College because he wanted to help build a winning cross country team, and he’s proud of the progress the team has made.
“I’m looking forward to bringing in a few great recruits and moving up in the conference,” he said. “We’ve been moving up every year and hope to be in the top three in the conference this year.”
Osterhaus said cross country and track meets are always fun, especially out of town meets.
“It’s just a good chance for the team to hang out,” he said.
In addition to running, Osterhaus is involved in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which provides insight on policies that affect student-athletes.
