Athlete Spotlight - Casey Dunning
High School and Hometown: Linn-Mar High School, Marion, Iowa

Casey Dunning didn't realize how talented he was at running until he tried out for cross country his senior year in high school.
Originally, he took up the sport to stay in shape for wrestling, but he ended up qualifying for state. After excelling in high school, he knew that running was something he would stick with at Simpson.
Dunning and the cross country team have gained speed during the past couple seasons.
"The team is looking for a big step at the conference meet later this fall," he said.
As an accounting major, he has to balance homework and practice, which has taught him time management skills.
Dunning does make time to have a little fun and enjoys the overnight trips to Wisconsin with the cross country team.
