Athlete Spotlight - Curt Bjork
Position: Catcher
High School and Hometown: Mount Vernon High School, Mount Vernon, Iowa
Growing up watching his three older siblings play sports, senior Curt Bjork has had a love for playing baseball since he was 7-years old.
"My dad and older brother have a love and passion for the game that I learned through them and now share," said Bjork. "I love the competition baseball brings and being around the guys is always fun."
Bjork has played both third and first base while at Simpson, but his main duty is catching for the Storm.
Bjork is also an undergraduate intern for the Athletic Department at Simpson and works all home athletic events. He hopes to attend graduate school and become an athletic director and baseball coach.
"I really enjoy being around other student-athletes," said Bjork. "It's a great experience to have before attending graduate school."
