Simpson defeats Dubuque
Cory Rasmussen (Jr. West Des Moines, IA) went 4-4 at the plate against Dubuque on Wednesday to help the Storm defeat the Spartans of the University of Dubuque 8-1. Rasmussen (left) had 4 singles and an RBI while teammate Cory Dawson (right) (Sr. Altoona, IA) hit his fourth triple of the year driving in 3 runs. Jason Hayes (Sr. Lawson, MO) had 2 singles and Dave
Johnson (So. West Des Moines, IA) hit his sixth double of the year and earned an RBI. Brandon Harrison (So. Mt. Pleasant, IA) was credited with the win for Simpson, his fourth of the year.
The Storm will conclude their home schedule this weekend in a three game series against Coe College. Simpson will play one game Friday night and two games on Saturday April 18. The Friday night game will begin at 6 p.m. while the double header on Saturday will start 1:00 p.m.
