The Storm travelled to Cedar Rapids Iowa on Saturday for a double header against Coe College. In game one the Storm rallied in the 7th inning to come within one. In a defensive battle, Coe held on for a one point victory to prevail 3-2. In game two Amanda Enochs (So. Des Moines, IA) went 2-3 at the plate with a double and a single. Kelsie Host (So. Simpson Softball will travel to Dubuque Iowa for a double-header against Loras College on Wednesday April 15. *Please advise this game was originally scheduled to be played at Indianola, re-scheduled for Dubuque.*

In the first game of the double header Saturday against Luther the Norse defeated Simpson 6-3. Scott Ethell (Jr. Knoxville, IA) went 2-3 at the plate with a double and an RBI. Dave Johnson (So. West Des Moines, IA) doubled in the 4th, driven in by Curt Bjork (Sr. Mt. Vernon, IA). Johnson had two hits in game one. Cory Dawson (Sr. Altoona, IA) went 2-4 at the plate with two singles. Bjork and Jesse Reis (Sr. Coon Rapids, IA) also earned RBIs for the Storm. In game two, Cory Rasmussen (Jr. West Des Moines, IA) had three singles on four at bats for Simpson. Simpson Baseball returns to McBride Field on Tuesday April 14th for a double header against Grinnell College. Varsity will play the first game and the Junior Varsity team will play the second. Game 1 will begin at 4 p.m.
