Bob Nutgrass

NutgrassProfessor Bob Nutgrass, Education Specialist (Drake, 2000), has been teaching at Simpson College since the fall of 1990. Bob has his undergraduate degree from Iowa Wesleyan College, with degrees in Physical Education teaching and Recreation with minors in health and coaching. He earned his masters degree in Athletic Administration with a teaching emphasis in 1982 from Western Illinois University. Professor Nutgrass has served Simpson College in several capacities: he was Physical Education Department Chair from 1996 to 2008, he was Assistant Athletic Director from 1994 to 1997 and currently serves as the NCAA Compliance Officer for Simpson Athletics. Professor Nutgrass also coached men's basketball as an assistant from 1990 to 1996, and as tennis coach, lead both the men's and women's programs from 1997 through 2008, amassing the most wins as tennis coach in Simpson College history. Bob and his wife, Susan, reside in Indianola.
