In the Sociology Major, students may take 12 of their 21 elective hours in a Minorities, Family, or Deviance concentration. Three of these 12 hours in the Concentration may be taken in an area other than sociology or anthropology. The remaining 9 hours of electives fulfilling the major requirements must be taken from any Sociology or Anthropology offering. Thus the combined total of electives remains 21 hours as in the standard Sociology major.
