Background
Lora is somewhat of a social science hybrid and holds a Master of Social Work degree and a Ph.D. in rural sociology. Lora also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand. Her course load includes micro level practice courses such as "Introduction to Human Services" and "Human Growth and Development" and macro level sociology course such as "Environmental Sociology." Lora's research interests are related to the sociology of family, and the roles of women, both nationally and internationally.
Currently, Lora is an associate professor for the Social Sciences.
