Mark Freyberg

Background
Mark came to Simpson in 1996.  Among the courses he teaches are Race and Ethnic Relations, Social Movements, Complex Organizations, Theory, and Methods.  He directs the Social Science Department's Honors program and advises Simpson's Multicultural Student Alliance.  He has consulted and helped direct surveys by local groups including the Knoxville Police Department and Warren County Empowerment Board. His research interests include social movements and the sociology of knowledge.
