Wesley THE VILLAGE
Mission: Wesley The Village is a retirement community offering multiple levels of living including 34 townhomes, 74 independent apartments, 14 assisted living apartments, a Health Center which provides care in a lovely homelike setting, and memory-support care. Located near Simpson College on 37 acres, Wesley The Village is sponsored by Wesley Retirement Services, Inc. Volunteers are needed in the Health Center to visit one-on-one with residents, read to them or help with other individual or small group activities. We could also use volunteers in independent and assisted living to play games such as ping pong, horseshoes, washers, and others with residents. Or, if students have a talent they would like to put into a program, we could schedule something like that as well. The program could be a student who plays an instrument, sings, acts, writes and will share their stories or poetry, or any other additional talents. They are usually about 30-45 minutes in length and could be during the day or evening. We are open to many different opportunities.
