Summer Housing

2009 Summer Housing

Summer housing for 2009 is available, probably in the Clinton apartments. Information will be emailed to all students in early March. Most apartments houses four people of the same gender. We will try to honor all roommate requests. The priority deadline for Summer Housing has passed, but applications will be accepted until we are full. Please return the contract (available below) to Residence Life in the Student Development office.

The cost for Summer Housing is $16/day. However, if you work on campus 24+ hours/week and have it verified via the downloadable form below, the rate is reduced to half the daily rate. Charges through Saturday, August 8, are placed directly on your student account monthly and payment must be made throughout the summer. Billing for the remaining two weeks of Summer Housing will be added to your student account shortly after the first full week of Fall Semester.

Summer Housing residents may remain in their current on-campus residence through Sunday, May 17, but must be move to thier new Summer Housing location on that day between 5:00-7:00pm. Everyone must be able to move out of thier current housing on that day.

Summer Housing residents must move to thier on-campus Fall semester location during the week PRIOR to Saturday, August 8. You should plan to check-out of your Summer Housing with your CA no later than between 5pm-7pm that day, but you may need to move up to a full week early to accomodate early arrivals for Fall. Students without Fall Housing assignments must be moved off campus no later than Saturday, August 8th, and exceptions cannot be granted. You will continue to be billed at the Summer Housing daily rate until or unless you would otherwise be approved to move unto campus for the opening of Fall Semester.

If you cannot move on the specified dates and times above, please speak directly with Mandy Fox. Due to the Summer Conference schedule, your request is likely unable to be accomodated and you should consider other housing arrangements.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact Residence Life. For a variety of reasons, we can only house Simpson College students in our Summer Housing.
