Simpson College has had the unique opportunity to convert several residential homes accommodating 4-10 students into exciting thematic living options.
Groups of students apply to live together each year while adopting a community service and campus event project that they work on throughout the academic year. Of the approximately 10 theme houses, several are directly tied to academic programs, including the Political Science House, the Performing Arts House, and the Upward Bound House. Others are tied to various student interests and organizations.
This year's theme houses include:
- Women's Basketball House (903 North E Street)
- Breast Cancer Awareness House (907 North E Street, upstairs)
- Diabetes Awareness House (907 North E Street, downstairs)
- Carver House (707 North D Street)
- Women's Resource Center (707 North C Street)
- Language Assistants House (411 West Clinton Street, downstairs)
